Job Description

Pure Storage is seeking an experienced and results-oriented individual to join their dynamic sales team focused on State, Local and Education (SLED) customers. The Account Executive will be responsible for driving the sales of data storage solutions to SLED customers in the defined territory, focusing on new customer acquisition and expanding existing customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Evangelize data storage technology and solutions
  • Identify and pursue sales opportunities within the SLED customer base
  • Identify customer needs and develop value proposition strategies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop customized data storage solutions
  • Build and invest in customer relationships
  • Lead pursuit teams and develop account plans
  • Drive and manage a healthy sales pipeline

Requirements

  • Proven track record in SLED sales
  • In-depth knowledge of the SLED procurement process
  • Knowledge of working with Federal system integrator
  • Ability to sell company's story and value proposition
  • Authenticity and a desire to engage customers
  • Thought leadership and a Challenger Mindset
  • Proven prospecting skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to assess, plan, and manage a territory
  • Expertise leading a complex sales process
  • Experience outside of traditional storage for the past consecutive 5 years
  • Consistent track record of exceeding quota
  • Passionate about post-sales customer success
  • Skilled in delivering business results and leveraging CRM tools
  • 5+ years of outside sales experience
