Job Description

NPR is seeking an intern for the It’s Been a Minute and Life Kit podcasts. The internship will involve contributing to episode research, pitching ideas, assisting with audio production, social media efforts, booking guests, and more. The internship is a 28-week, full-time position.

Responsibilities

• Contributing to episode research
• Pitching episode ideas
• Assisting with audio production tasks
• Assisting with social media efforts
• Supporting engagement editor(s) with video production
• Booking guests and arranging logistics
• Helping monitor listener feedback
• Obtaining audio and assists with basic production
• Attending editorial meetings and pitches story ideas
• Performing routine administrative tasks
• Fact-checking for episodes and digital stories

Requirements

• Strong research skills
• Strong writing skills
• Computer literacy
• Interest in audio journalism
• Knowledge of NPR podcasts and other content
• Current student or recent graduate
