Job Description

Roadie, a UPS company, is seeking a Platform Engineer to create and maintain reusable services and tools for application delivery in a fast-paced, agile environment. The role focuses on improving the developer experience and enabling the engineering team to deploy scalable solutions efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Work on existing systems for efficient feature delivery
• Create internal tools for workflows and compliance
• Build and maintain custom APIs, CLIs, and web UIs
• Ensure optimal performance and responsiveness of internal toolchains
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Iterate to support product engineers
• Plan and execute engineering goals
• Improve performance and maintainability of applications

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 4+ years of full stack development experience
• 1+ year of platform engineering experience
• Experience with Cloud Services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud)
• Experience with Version Control Systems (GitHub, GitLab, BitBucket)
• Experience with Containerization (Docker, Podman)
• Extensive experience with Kubernetes and ArgoCD
• Experience with Monitoring tools (New Relic, Sumo Logic, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack)
• Experience designing client-side and server-side architecture
• Knowledge of front-end languages and libraries (HTML/CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery, TypeScript)
• Knowledge of back-end languages (Go, Ruby, C#, Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React, Node.js)
• Ability to write and analyze complex SQL queries
