Job Description

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Junior Robotics Engineer to maintain, operate, and improve robotic work cells. The role involves preventative maintenance, maximizing uptime, implementing hardware changes, and supporting software researchers. The ideal candidate will have experience in robotics or automation, PLC programming, and basic Linux and Docker knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on robotic work cells
• Maximize robotic work cell uptime
• Operate and observe robotic work cells, collecting metrics
• Implement hardware change requests
• Install and assemble new robotic work cells
• Support SW researchers by resetting items and resolving intervention requests
• Document work performed
• Perform electromechanical debugging

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in robotics or automation
• Experience with maintenance, repair, and modification of systems
• Experience programming PLCs
• Basic Bash and Linux knowledge
• Docker container experience
• Basic reporting and documentation experience
