Job Description

Join Scout Motors to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck and rugged SUV market. This role involves supporting supplier quality planning, ensuring quality standards, leading supplier improvements, and driving continuous improvement activities.

Responsibilities

  • Support supplier quality planning and execution
  • Ensure all vehicle activities meet quality standards
  • Provide leadership at suppliers to meet expectations
  • Manage proactive and reactive containment at suppliers
  • Review and approve necessary boundary samples
  • Ensure change management occurs properly
  • Manage Supplier PPAPs
  • Escalate issues with the supply chain
  • Lead supplier improvements in cost, quality, and manufacturability
  • Facilitate understanding of technical requirements
  • Manage supplier audits and corrective actions
  • Collaborate with Design, Quality, and Manufacturing
  • Monitor supplier manufacturing process development
  • Drive continuous improvement activities
  • Ensure robust processes and procedures
  • Validate supplier corrective actions
  • Facilitate new or alternative materials
  • Participate in supplier reviews
  • Support suppliers in efficient use of best methods
  • Drive Quality improvements
  • Support root cause analysis
  • Lead and drive Scout’s Quality expectations
  • Act with dignity and respect
  • Mitigate warranty claims
  • Work cross functionally
  • Support NCR resolution
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in Automotive Electronics/ Power Train (PT), Chassis, ADAS, and Connectivity technologies
  • Technical understanding of vehicle development, production, and supply chain management
  • Experience with system-level and end-to-end testing
  • Experience with industry standards such as ISO 26262, ASPICE, or other automotive quality standards
  • Manage homologation and regulatory compliance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of quality management and methodologies
  • Experience in Quality Systems
  • Understanding of safety requirements
  • Understanding of IATF, VDA, ISO, DIN, and regulatory requirements
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Certification in AIAG Core Tools
  • Leadership and team management abilities
  • Proven results in directing supplier activities
  • Proven ability to execute project management techniques
  • Strong technical writing ability
  • Valid driver's license
  • Passport required
