Job Description

NISC is seeking a highly motivated Support Specialist to provide exceptional customer service, problem-solving, and training to Member/Customers using NISC’s applications. The role involves application support, issue resolution, and collaboration within a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide superior customer support
  • Assist customers with application support, problem-solving, and training
  • Prepare cases and follow-up to resolution
  • Research and resolve application issues
  • Facilitate and follow up on requests
  • Assist with mass communications
  • Assist with software release process
  • Utilize support tools
  • Convey customer feedback
  • Perform on-site or remote training
  • Provide after-hours support
  • Develop and deliver training to coworkers
  • Prepare materials and deliver classes
  • Participate on design teams
  • Participate in testing
  • Travel to customer sites

Requirements

  • 1-5 years of product usage or support experience
  • Basic knowledge of NISC's products
  • Basic knowledge of industry applications
  • Basic knowledge of Project Management and SLM
  • Basic knowledge of Utility or Telecom industry
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent presentation and training skills
  • Excellent telephone etiquette
  • Excellent research and problem-solving skills
  • Strong PC skills
  • Ability to lead, influence, and teach
  • Ability to organize and prioritize
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Ability to travel
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
