Job Description

The Store Manager motivates and inspires the team to achieve store productivity goals by analyzing business and market trends, and leading a team to manage payroll and expenses.

Responsibilities

  • Assume overall responsibility for the store
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers
  • Demonstrate desired behaviors for staff including driving sales and cash management
  • Maintain a strong leadership presence in store
  • Prioritize, plan, and adjust schedules
  • Review payroll and ensure appropriate staff levels
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute merchandising campaigns
  • Coach team and provide feedback
  • Utilize company tools to improve performance
  • Ensure staff is trained and knowledgeable
  • Manage and assess staff performance
  • Forecast/reforecast business to meet sales goals
  • Enforce company policies and procedures
  • Manage store controlled expenses
  • Manage and control shrink
  • Communicate with District Manager
  • Identify opportunities to drive traffic
  • Partner with corporate office personnel
  • Create customer loyalty
  • Ensure correct pricing, signage, and displays
  • Receive vendor deliveries and stock sales floor
  • Monitor inventory stock levels

Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience in retail store management
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent organizer and problem solver with strong project management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
