Job Description

Seeking a technical, detail-oriented, and team-oriented QA Lead to contribute to a new multiplayer action game. You will design QA strategies and plans to ensure the quality of the holistic game experience and work with the QA director to establish good QA processes.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and execute a cross-disciplinary QA strategy
• Spot problems in processes and toolchains
• Train and supervise external QA staff
• Build and run a team of internal and external Test staff
• Define and maintain team-wide quality assurance standards
• Partner with engineering to build tooling and automation strategies
• Write clear and concise documentation and communication

Requirements

• Ability to quickly understand game systems and design test coverage
• Develop an understanding of the product from a player value and technical systems point of view
• Define a QA strategy that incorporates business, project, and systems needs
• Negotiate and drive plans in alignment with cross-disciplinary leads
• Understanding of risks, constraints, business needs, and player value
• Experience directing external Test or QA staff
• Experience playing competitive PvP action games
• Experience managing full-time QA staff
