Job Description

SmartAsset is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join the QA team to improve the stability and quality of applications by building scalable automated solutions. The role involves leading testing efforts, creating testing solutions, and contributing to an existing automation suite.

Responsibilities

• Support testing needs of an Agile Scrum team
• Develop new automated tests for frontend and backend systems
• Collaborate with QA team members to build a standardized QA suite
• Migrate existing Selenium automation tests to Playwright
• Work with developers and product members to understand testing needs
• Identify opportunities to improve software quality and efficiency

Requirements

• 3+ years of QA experience with a focus on automation
• Experience with automated testing frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
• Experience developing automated suites with Java and TypeScript
• Knowledge of Git or other source control tools
• Familiarity with testing APIs through Postman
• Experience developing load and stress tests
• Experience supporting development teams with testing for frontend and backend components
• Excellent communication skills and experience in an Agile environment
• Experience in test management tools
• Ability to build test plans and support manual and automated testing
• Enthusiasm for working in a startup environment
