The Food Safety Supervisor oversees and maintains food safety and sanitation standards, monitors compliance, conducts audits, provides training, and collaborates with other departments to ensure high standards.
Responsibilities
Monitor production activities for food safety compliance
Assist chefs with cooking and cooling logs
Perform critical checks, including refrigeration and temperature monitoring
Conduct daily facility compliance walks
Ensure facility is inspection-ready
Deliver chef and employee training on food safety
Collaborate with other departments to resolve food safety issues
Provide detailed reports on compliance status
Requirements
3–5 years of experience in food safety or quality assurance
Formal food safety training or certification (e.g., ServSafe, HACCP)
Bilingual (English & Spanish)
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods
Ability to work in hot or cold environments
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
