Job Description

Raft is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support customers and join a team of problem solvers. The role involves software lifecycle management, leading project initiatives, code reviews, mentoring junior engineers, and technical ownership of software delivery.

Responsibilities

• Diving deeper into the software lifecycle
• Taking on more complex tasks
• Leading smaller project initiatives
• Writing code
• Participating in design discussions and code reviews
• Mentoring Associate and Standard Engineers
• Maintaining high standards
• Being the technical owner of software teams delivery

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a software engineer
• Demonstrated track record of technical leadership
• Ability to disambiguate technical and functional requirements
• Proficiency with Golang or Rust, and Java
• Strong experience in Big Data/Cloud/Enterprise Frameworks
• Experience in creating robust web-socket and RESTFul APIs
• Deep knowledge of SW design and architecture patterns
• Proficiency with cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, and Kubernetes
• Strong collaborator
• Able to mentor junior engineers
• Working knowledge & experience in Kubernetes, multiple databases, CI/CD pipelines, and developing performant applications
• Able to obtain a Security+ certification within 90 days
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or a related field
