Job Description

The Open Innovation – Mobile eXperience Partnerships Manager is responsible for developing partnerships with external innovations and formulating strategies to deliver innovative & exciting value to consumers through Samsung mobile and wearable products. This role involves fostering startup partnerships, developing business cases, and driving initiatives for Samsung's future.

Responsibilities

• Monitor market trends and research relevant to Samsung's Mobile eXperience business
• Identify partnership and investment opportunities in the mobile and wearable device ecosystem
• Foster relationships with startups, VCs, and universities
• Liaise between partners and Samsung, leading discussions and driving POCs
• Coordinate cross-functional team activities and set project milestones
• Address ambiguity through strategic thinking and tactical execution
• Define new consumer experiences through partners

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in technology or engineering or equivalent experience, MS or MBA preferred
• 10+ years of professional experience in a technology company, with 4+ years in technology development, venture capital, or corporate development for mobile/wearable products
• Deep industry knowledge in AI, Digital Health/Fitness, AR/XR, Sensors, IoT, Computer Vision, and wireless technologies
• Ability to evaluate core technologies and transform technical information into clear messaging
• Effective interpersonal and relationship management skills
• Ability to identify and source emerging technology startups
• Experience leading complex, multi-team and cross-geographic projects
• Excellent written, verbal communications and presentation skills
• Ability to deal with ambiguity
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (20%)
