Job Description

The New York Times seeks a strategic Partnerships Sales Director to grow Enterprise Subscriptions and Subscription Partnerships across all digital products. This role involves collaboration, high revenue performance, and closing transformative deals. The director will manage a territory, build relationships, structure partnership programs, and work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a territory and define sales outreach strategy
  • Define target list/sales approach and build relationships with key stakeholders
  • Structure mutually beneficial subscription partnership programs
  • Identify growth opportunities and strategically position offerings
  • Develop targeting and outreach strategies
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement programs
  • Bring technical proficiency and data-driven insights
  • Navigate pricing challenges and close complex deals
  • Understand the value of high-quality journalism

Requirements

  • 10+ years sales experience
  • 5+ years experience in a B2B Business Development role
  • 5+ years of experience at a Fortune 500 company (preferred)
  • Experience in the media industry (preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience selling subscriptions or membership services (preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience selling strategic advertising partnerships (preferred)
