Job Description

Seeking a Forward Deployment Engineer to lead the development and deployment of novel applications using Google’s generative AI models. The role focuses on rapidly developing new features, collaborating with partner teams, and translating AI research into real-world products.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable software applications leveraging generative AI models
• Rapidly prototype new features and iterate based on evaluation results
• Collaborate with researchers and product managers
• Optimize software performance and ensure reliability
• Contribute to best practices for building and deploying generative AI applications
• Lead the architecture and development of new products & features

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 8 years of software development experience with data structures/algorithms
• 5 years of experience testing and launching software products, and 3 years of software design and architecture
• 5 years of experience in media generation, reinforcement learning, ML infrastructure, or another ML field
• 5 years of experience leading ML design and optimizing ML infrastructure
• Strong software engineering skills; proficiency in Python
• Proven experience in rapidly developing and shipping software products
• Deep understanding of software development best practices
• Experience with cloud computing platforms and infrastructure
• Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
