Postman is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead the technical vision of their apps platform, focusing on developer tools to enable a community of ecosystem developers. The role involves strategy, technical roadmap, and architecture, overseeing tools like a developer portal, documentation, and more. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, strategic, and a leader with experience in building high-quality platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for architecture and building secure, scalable, and performant systems
• Identify dependencies and review designs
• Lead the team to deliver on multiple projects
• Build an operational center of excellence
• Prioritize work and create a balanced roadmap
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Mentor senior engineers and build the next level of engineering leadership

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Experience with industry standards in the ecosystem space
• 10+ years of hands-on coding experience
• 10+ years of engineering experience building back-end services
• Experience leading cross-functional projects
• Exceptional problem-solving, design, and analytical skills
• Experience designing highly scalable systems
