Job Description

Postman is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead the technical vision for their ecosystem developer tooling team, building a 0 → 1 product and overseeing tools like a developer portal, documentation, and sandbox environments. The role involves technical leadership, roadmap prioritization, collaboration, and mentorship, with a focus on creating a high-quality platform for ecosystem developers.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for architecture and system building
• Identify dependencies and review designs
• Lead the team to deliver on projects
• Build an operational center of excellence
• Prioritize work and create a balanced roadmap
• Drive engineering initiatives and influence strategy
• Mentor senior engineers and build leadership

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Strong experience with industry standards in the ecosystem space
• 10+ years of hands-on coding experience
• 10+ years of engineering experience building back-end services
• Experience leading cross-functional projects
• Exceptional problem-solving, design, and analytical skills
• Experience designing highly scalable systems
