Job Description

This position manages existing Industrial Wastewater accounts, in addition to drinking water treatment, utilities and related water accounts. The position is a blend of account management and new business development. Roughly 40% of their week will be spent on servicing existing customers and nurturing the relationships, while the other 60% of the time will be allocated to new business development around the greater Minneapolis, MN area.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain a sales territory, focusing on business development and sales growth
  • Obtain new business using Salesforce and structuring programs
  • Grow and protect existing business by constructing and executing a business plan
  • Improve gross margins by identifying competitive situations and negotiating a response
  • Survey plants, utilize tools to determine best-in-class solutions
  • Effectively manage time and territory
  • Write timely chemical treatment proposals and service reports

Requirements

  • College education and prior sales experience preferred
  • 2-5 years of sales experience in the water treatment/chemical industry required
  • Ability to construct a business plan
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle driving record
  • Proficient computer skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
