Job Description

Slate is seeking an energetic and experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to support all aspects of supplier quality and performance. The SQE will work closely with internal and external customers, manage supplier development, and ensure timely delivery of tooling and parts within budget. Responsibilities include conducting audits, administering APQP, managing KPIs, and fostering strong supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

• Perform domestic and international supplier audits
• Administer the APQP process
• Hold suppliers accountable to quality requirements
• Develop and implement supplier KPI/scorecards
• Evaluate suppliers for production awards
• Develop strong supplier relationships
• Work with internal stakeholders
• Provide technical GD&T and drawing standards training

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• 3+ years of Supplier Quality Engineering/Development experience
• Experience with site audits, continuous improvement, and APQP
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Knowledge of value-driven supplier KPI and scorecard development
• Knowledge and experience with ERP systems
• Strong analytical and communication skills
