Job Description

Slate is seeking a proactive Risk Manager to join their Treasury team to safeguard the company's assets and operations by leading their Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework and overseeing their corporate insurance program.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) plan
• Collaborate with leaders to assess risks
• Establish risk policies and reporting tools
• Conduct risk assessments and report findings
• Manage the company’s corporate insurance program
• Partner with insurance brokers
• Drive insurance renewal processes
• Support claims management
• Administer the Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP)
• Ensure collection of Certificates of Insurance (COIs)
• Develop risk and insurance performance metrics
• Provide training and guidance
• Collaborate with teams to address risk and insurance needs

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in enterprise risk management, corporate insurance, or a related field
• Strong understanding of risk management frameworks
• Experience leading or participating in a cross-functional ERM collaboration council
• Hands-on experience managing corporate insurance programs
• Familiarity with major national commercial insurance brokers
• Excellent organizational skills
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency in risk assessment tools and data analysis tools
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• High ethical standards
