Job Description

The Subassemblies Technician will be responsible for building precision, ultra-high vacuum subassemblies for the SPARC Tokamak, ensuring high build quality and meticulous attention to detail. This role involves hands-on assembly of critical parts, including high power RF antennas, plasma facing components, and various coils, contributing to the development of fusion energy.

Responsibilities

• Build complex and simple subassemblies and components
• Maintain cleanliness specifications
• Perform testing and check-outs
• Assist with precision alignment and installation of optical systems
• Participate in maintaining work area cleanliness
• Assist other CFS teams with related skilled work

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• 7 years in a technical assembly role
• Ability to operate a forklift
• Experience completing large scale projects
• Experience using measurement tools
• Experience using JIRA, Manufacturo, or similar software
