Job Description

As the first security engineering leader, you will define and execute a scalable security strategy, lead a team, and ensure products are secure. You will report to the VP of Engineering and can be based remotely in the San Francisco Bay Area OR hybrid from NYC.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a security engineering team
• Define and implement a security strategy
• Collaborate with teams to embed security-by-design principles
• Oversee security testing programs
• Manage security incident response and vulnerability management
• Drive automation of security controls
• Ensure compliance with security standards
• Act as a key stakeholder in program leadership
• Engage with external auditors
• Foster a security-first culture

Requirements

• 6+ years of security or software engineering experience and 2+ years of people management
• Technical depth in one domain
• Deep understanding of security principles and best practices
• Strong communication skills
• Strong business acumen and customer-centric mindset
