Job Description

An Insurance Payment Poster is a remote role responsible for accurately posting payments and transactions to the billing system for various payors, including Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial plans. This position requires a high level of attention to detail while maintaining company productivity standards for managing payment postings, adjustments, and correspondence.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately post payments and transactions to the billing system
  • Manage payment postings, adjustments, and correspondence
  • Ensure proper billing processes are followed
  • Review and interpret explanation of benefits (EOB)
  • Reconcile cash batch
  • Complete batch posting with 98% accuracy
  • Identify incomplete information
  • Work with PHI
  • Complete training relating to HIPAA/PHI privacy
  • Maintain “good standing” status on Natera training requirements
  • Assist with external and internal audits
  • Assist with new hire training and refresher training
  • Help to maintain and update SOP’s and job aides
  • Other duties as assigned by Management

Requirements

  • High School Diploma- GED
  • 2+ years’ experience in healthcare insurance billing
  • Knowledge of third party insurance
  • 1 year of Accounting experience
  • Strong data entry skills
  • Proficient 10 key skills
  • Proficient with Google Sheets and/or Excel
  • Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10
