The Authorization Resource Center (RC) is the central hub for all knowledge, processes, and payer policies related to prior authorizations (PAs). The specialist will gather PA requirements, translate them into resources, and support internal teams.
Responsibilities
Contact payers to confirm PA requirements
Document findings and update systems
Serve as a subject-matter expert
Create step-by-step guides
Maintain a searchable knowledge library
Monitor and respond to tickets
Identify pain points and propose changes
Train stakeholders on policies
Adapt to changes and define new processes
Requirements
2+ years in PA advocacy or insurance verification
Comfortable communicating with payers
Ability to write concise instructions
Experience with process improvement
Familiarity with Jira, MS Office, and payer portals
