Job Description

A Software Support Engineer II provides technical assistance to production operations and research with troubleshooting, diagnosing, and solving product and environment problems. The engineer analyzes requirements, writes manifests for Cloud pipelines, and makes results available to researchers. They also document and maintain solutions for future problem resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for LIMS and Cloud based Data Analytics software platform
  • Perform troubleshooting, debugging, and root cause analysis
  • Track and document all actions taken to address production issues
  • Develop and document best practices
  • Identify and codify solutions to frequent issues
  • Work with PHI on a regular basis
  • Complete required training

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role
  • BS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge of Java and Spring framework
  • Experience with relational databases, especially MySql
  • Experience with infrastructure technologies such as AWS and Kubernetes
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong technical documentation skills
  • Eagerness to acquire new skills in genetics
