Job Description

The Senior Government Affairs Specialist leads advocacy initiatives focused on biomarker and diagnostic test coverage and reimbursement within a defined multi-state region. This role requires a deep understanding of state-level healthcare policy, regulatory environments, and legislative processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement government affairs strategies for biomarker test coverage and reimbursement
• Monitor and analyze relevant legislation, regulations, and health policy trends
• Build and sustain relationships with key state legislators and officials
• Partner with internal teams to align advocacy efforts
• Provide guidance to junior government affairs staff
• Represent the organization in legislative hearings and regulatory meetings

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy or related field; advanced degree preferred
• 5–7 years of experience in government affairs, legislative advocacy, or health policy
• Strong knowledge of state legislative and regulatory processes and healthcare policy
• Demonstrated success in developing and executing state-level advocacy strategies
• Experience in managing stakeholder relationships
