Job Description

Taskrabbit is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join their team, responsible for executing technical security initiatives across their cloud-native infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a seasoned technical security generalist with a proven track record in securing modern, cloud-native environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement technical security controls aligned to CIS requirements
• Integrate security into CI/CD and infrastructure pipelines
• Build and maintain security automation for detection, response, and evaluate new security technologies and tools
• Respond to security alerts, lead incident response investigations, and support requests in an on-call rotation
• Drive vulnerability management and system hardening
• Contribute to security documentation, risk assessments, and policy development
• Manage and maintain IT security infrastructure and participate in IT asset security reviews

Requirements

• 5+ years in a similar role
• Experience securing cloud-native infrastructure (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.) and proficient with Terraform or similar IaC tools
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, and/or Azure
• Understanding of OWASP Top 10 and secure coding principles
• Experience with SIEM, EDR, or detection pipelines (e.g. Crowdstrike, Datadog, etc.)
• Proficiency in scripting/automation languages (e.g. Python, Bash, Go, etc.)
• Exposure to SOC 2, CIS, or general compliance control frameworks
• Certifications (OSCP, GSEC, CKS, AWS Certified Security - Specialty, GCLD, GCPN, etc.)
