Job Description

Develops communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms. Responsible for project engineering through all phases of development for external customers and internally driven projects. Leads technical decisions, coordinates between engineering teams, and manages project budgets and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate across multidiscipline engineering teams
• Develop project schedules, budgets, and risks
• Report to program and company leadership
• Interact with customers as a technical leader
• Present engineering design review materials and status reports
• Participate in proposal-writing efforts

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master of Science degree in relevant engineering field
• 9 years of industry experience in a relevant engineering or project position
• Expert in project management tools
• Technical leader with communication systems, specifically software defined radios
• Experience mentoring less experienced project engineers and design engineers
• Thorough understanding of space systems engineering processes
• Experience in driving complex electrical/software/mechanical development efforts to completion
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
