Job Description

Seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Trucking Insurance Underwriter/Broker to evaluate, quote, and manage new and renewal business within the commercial auto and trucking sector, managing a high-volume workload while maintaining strong relationships with retail agency partners and carriers.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new and renewal commercial trucking accounts
• Analyze risk using various reports and data
• Make eligibility and pricing recommendations
• Prepare market submissions and quote proposals
• Review policies for accuracy
• Communicate with agents and stakeholders
• Negotiate with carriers
• Track performance of accounts
• Address billing and endorsement issues
• Ensure prompt claims reporting
• Maintain electronic documentation
• Partner with other teams
• Stay updated on industry trends
• Perform administrative tasks

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 5+ years of commercial insurance underwriting or brokerage experience
• Experience in wholesale and/or retail brokerage settings
• Professional designations preferred
• Active Property & Casualty license required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of agency management systems a plus
• Strong analytical, communication, and time-management skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
