Job Description

Newsweek is building a next-generation video team and is looking for a Video Producer/Shooter/Editor to pitch ideas, capture footage, and shape stories in the edit. The ideal candidate has a strong background in documentaries, news, or production company work.

Responsibilities

  • Produce, shoot, and edit original video content
  • Build narratives through research, booking, scripting, and interviews
  • Capture high-quality visuals using a cinematic approach
  • Edit footage into engaging stories using Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Collaborate with teams to develop story formats and execution strategies
  • Apply basic motion graphics to enhance storytelling
  • Adapt content to suit multiple platforms
  • Manage the full production lifecycle
  • Work on tight deadlines

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of experience in video production
  • Strong background in field shooting and editing
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Expertise in story development, scripting, and research
  • Experience shooting on professional camera systems
  • Ability to work independently
  • Understanding of platform-specific video formats
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
