Job Description

The Senior Intellectual Property Counsel will support business stakeholders, protect the company's investment in research and development, support technology and commercial transactions, develop an IP strategy, mitigate IP risks, and optimize IP policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic IP advice
• Capture new innovation and build patent portfolio
• Understand the competitive landscape
• Manage or support litigation and mitigate risk
• Support licensing, M&A, and other commercial transactions
• Assist in the development and optimization of company IP systems and infrastructure

Requirements

• Degree in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Bioengineering, AI/Machine Learning, or Applied Mathematics preferred
• Registered and in good standing with the relevant attorney bar and the USPTO
• Minimum 8 years of related experience with 6 - 8 years of experience in the IP field
• Familiarity with patent prosecution, freedom-to-operate (FTO) analysis, prior art searching and patent challenge procedures
