Job Description

As a Debur Technician at Freeform, you will play a critical role in the post-processing of metal 3D printed parts for the world’s first high-volume additive manufacturing factory. You will debur and post-process parts with complex geometries and tight-tolerances with a keen eye for precision and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Post process printed parts including depowering, precision cleaning, removing supports, and surface-finishing
• Operate, maintain, and monitor machinery such as wire EDMs, surface grinders, sand blasters, deburring tools, bandsaws and handle metal powders
• Participate in process improvement efforts to streamline post processing operations to enable mass production
• Help turnover builds, ensuring powders, tools, and equipment are available at all times
• Assist with visual inspection and shipment of final parts

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in deburring, metal additive post-processing, or similar hands-on precision metal work
• Experience in operating complex equipment
• Skilled with manual machining, welding, cutting, fitting and/or bending of stainless steels, aluminums, and high-strength nickel alloys
• Ability to utilize power tools, hand tools, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy equipment
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50lbs unassisted
• Ability to climb ladders and be on your feet for extended periods of time
• Must be available and willing to work overtime when needed
• Safety conscience
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
