Job Description

The Accounting Manager will support CHeKT in its daily operations while working closely with the Alarm.com corporate accounting and finance organization to ensure proper controls and establish best practices. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, ever-changing environment and possess an entrepreneurial mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Handle day-to-day accounting, including journal entries, accounts payable/receivable, purchase orders, commission calculations, and bank account management
  • Complete monthly/quarterly financial close and reporting packages
  • Address accounting and financial issues related to CHeKT operations
  • Ensure compliance with tax requirements
  • Establish standard operating procedures and implement best practices
  • Implement improvements in billing, financial accounting, and reporting
  • Establish inventory controls and conduct regular inventories
  • Review customer and employee contracts
  • Provide regular financial reporting to leadership and stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with SOX Controls and FCPR
  • Perform other related duties as requested

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of accounting and finance experience
  • CPA preferred
  • Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of GAAP Accounting and revenue recognition
  • Experience in developing and implementing accounting policies
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational, prioritization, decision-making, and planning skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently
