ARSIEM is seeking a Senior Help Desk Technician to provide technical support for computers and associated networks for a government client in Columbia, MD.
Responsibilities
Installs, troubleshoots, services, and repairs personal computers and network equipment
Provides personal computer, hardware, and software support
Connects personal computers and terminals to existing data networks
Diagnoses hardware, software, and network problems
Resolves problems or contacts additional technical support
Maintains network diagrams and circuit records
Maintains trouble logs
Instructs users in the use of personal computers and networks
Investigates information, network, and communications needs
Performs basic PC, PBX, and network software programming
Requirements
High School plus specialized training and 5 - 6 years of experience
Extensive knowledge of the field
Ability to work on moderately difficult assignments
Ability to plan own work
Ability to use judgment within the limits of standard practice
