Job Description

DoorDash Labs is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to develop and implement ML models to improve delivery service quality for consumers, merchants, and dashers. The role involves building statistical and ML models, owning the modeling lifecycle, and contributing to demand shaping, search ranking, and customer segmentation.

Responsibilities

• Build statistical and ML models
• Own the modeling life cycle end-to-end
• Enhance consumer experience by reducing missing items, cancellations, and estimated arrival times
• Contribute to demand shaping, search ranking, and customer segmentation

Requirements

• 3+ years of industry experience post PhD or 5+ years of industry experience post graduate degree of developing machine learning models with business impact
• M.S., or PhD. in Machine Learning, Statistics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or other related quantitative fields
• Expertise with programming languages like Python, SciKit Learn, Lightgbm, Spark MLLib, PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.
• Deep understanding of complex systems such as Marketplaces, and domain knowledge in Machine Learning, Causal Inference, Operations Research, Forecasting and Experimentation
• Experience of shipping production-grade ML models and optimization systems, and designing sophisticated experimentation techniques
