Job Description

As a Validation Engineer at DoorDash Labs, you will play a critical role in the verification and validation of next-generation autonomous delivery robots. You will work with the robotics hardware team to develop and execute engineering tests, validate performance, improve robot reliability, and lead test reviews.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute engineering tests
• Validate electrical, mechanical, thermal, safety, and sensing performance
• Improve robot reliability through testing and troubleshooting
• Work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues
• Lead test reviews and report on progress

Requirements

• B.S., M.S., or PhD. in engineering (robotics, mechanical, electrical, or computer science)
• 8+ years of industry experience in automotive or mechatronics engineering testing & validation
• Hands-on experience with CAN bus, Ethernet data logging & network analysis tools
• Experience with environmental testing
• Experience managing complex projects
• Working understanding of vehicle mechanicals and electronics
• Interest in or working knowledge of autonomous vehicle perception systems
