DoorDash Labs is seeking a Software Engineer to develop and deploy software for advanced drone hardware, focusing on autonomous flight and delivery operations. This role involves working with software, hardware, and robotics to build applications for real-time robotics platforms, integrating drone sensors, and developing algorithms for perception, sensor fusion, and control.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy software for drone hardware
• Build applications for robotics platforms
• Develop and integrate algorithms for perception and control
• Use ROS/ROS 2 for robotic applications
• Implement communication protocols
• Conduct testing and debugging
• Collaborate with backend and infrastructure teams

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field
• 5+ years of industry experience in software development for robotics or autonomous systems
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python
• Experience with ROS/ROS 2
• Familiarity with sensor integration and data processing
• Experience with debugging tools
• Experience with robotics, drones, and autonomous systems
