Job Description

DoorDash seeks a Machine Learning Engineer to enhance delivery service quality for its three-sided marketplace. The role involves developing and deploying ML models to improve consumer experience, reduce delivery issues, and contribute to business growth.

Responsibilities

• Build statistical and ML models to enhance consumer experience
• Own the modeling lifecycle end-to-end
• Explore opportunities for delivery quality in demand shaping, search ranking, and customer segmentation
• Mentor and uplevel a team of ML Engineers

Requirements

• 1+ years of industry experience post PhD or 3+ years post graduate degree in developing machine learning models
• M.S. or PhD in Machine Learning, Statistics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or related field
• Expertise with programming languages like Python, SciKit Learn, Lightgbm, Spark MLLib, PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.
• Deep understanding of complex systems such as Marketplaces, and domain knowledge in Machine Learning, Causal Inference, Operations Research, Forecasting and Experimentation
• Experience of shipping production-grade ML models and optimization systems
• Located or planning to relocate to San Francisco, CA, Sunnyvale, CA, or Seattle, WA
