Job Description

DoorDash is seeking Backend Engineers to build and maintain a large-scale 24x7 global infrastructure system for its 3-sided marketplace. The role involves working on product and product platform teams, developing backend architecture, improving system performance, and transitioning to a microservice-based architecture.

Responsibilities

• Develop and release large-scale web applications
• Define backend architecture and tech stack
• Improve performance, reliability, scalability, and security
• Transition to a microservice-based architecture
• Disrupt logistics by tackling technical problems

Requirements

• B.S., M.S., or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent
• 2+ years of backend tech stack experience
• Ability to analyze and improve system resources
• Experience with service-oriented architecture, REST APIs, unit testing, and architectural design
• Understanding of modern web stacks and architecture
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
