DoorDash seeks a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to develop AI/ML solutions for accurate tax categorization of items for merchants, utilizing LLMs and leading the AI product strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop ML-driven tax catalog solutions
• Design ML products for large-scale categorization problems
• Shape product roadmap leveraging AI/ML
• Own the modeling life cycle end-to-end
• Identify new opportunities for AI/ML in business

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in machine learning model development
• Expertise in applied ML for deep learning, NLP, LLM, and multi-modality models
• M.S. or PhD in a quantitative field
• Ability to communicate technical details
• Strong machine learning background in Python
• Familiarity with Kotlin/Scala
