Job Description

The Director of Drone Operations will oversee all aspects of drone flight operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and safety protocols. They will lead a team, develop procedures, and collaborate cross-functionally to scale drone delivery capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee drone flight operations and compliance with FAA Part 135 regulations
• Lead a team of pilots and operations personnel
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams
• Manage flight operations, scheduling, and logistics
• Oversee training programs
• Monitor and analyze operational data

Requirements

• FAA Part 135 operational experience
• Part 107 certification and UAS flight experience
• Ability to develop and enforce SOPs
• Strong understanding of FAA regulations
• Experience leading teams and scaling flight operations
• Background in risk assessment and emergency response planning
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
