Job Description

The Associate Manager will lead personalization efforts across New Verticals (Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol, and Retail) at DoorDash. This role involves defining, executing, and optimizing product initiatives to enhance the customer experience, collaborating with cross-functional teams to launch ML-powered experiences, and analyzing data to improve personalization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies for personalizing the customer experience across New Verticals
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and data science teams to launch ML-powered experiences
  • Analyze data to understand consumer behavior and identify improvement opportunities
  • Develop strategies for best serving customers
  • Transform strategies into operational experiments
  • Assess the operational and financial impacts of decisions
  • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Requirements

  • 4-6+ years of experience in tech, operations, strategy, consulting, or related fields
  • Problem-solving from first principles
  • Comfortable operating at both high-level and detailed levels
  • Customer-focused with the ability to identify consumer pain points
  • Analytical skills, including SQL and Excel modeling
  • Understanding of technical concepts, including ML models and engineering architecture
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous, startup environments
  • Ownership and accountability
  • Bachelor’s Degree
