Job Description

Nominal, a venture-backed company, seeks a Senior Accountant to build and lead accounting processes, prepare financial statements, manage the chart of accounts, handle month-end-close, and coordinate external audits. The role involves ensuring timely and accurate reporting to improve internal decision-making and inform investor relations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements
• Perform month-end and year-end close
• Manage chart of accounts
• Allocate costs
• Oversee operational accounting
• Assign revenue recognition
• Manage cash/treasury
• Coordinate external audits

Requirements

• CPA certification with 7+ years of accounting experience
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP
• Experience in financial reporting, audits, and accounting systems implementation
• Experience with common accounting and billing software platforms
• Background at B2B SaaS firms
• Familiarity with Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and government contracts accounting knowledge
