Job Description

Smartsheet is seeking a Strategic Account Executive to lead sales strategy and expand Global 2000 accounts. This role involves driving executive engagement, selling solutions, and achieving substantial growth in software and services bookings. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of exceeding quota and experience in enterprise software sales.

Responsibilities

  • Exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas
  • Forecast and manage pipeline to achieve performance metrics
  • Provide account and selling team leadership
  • Create and maintain account plans
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners
  • Drive positive customer experience
  • Sell to Line of Business (LOB), Functional Areas and IT departments
  • Manage transactional and value-based selling motions
  • Leverage MEDDICC during sales process
  • Build relationships with VP+ and C-suite executives
  • Demonstrate a winning mindset
  • Evangelize Smartsheet's value
  • Utilize data and PLG signals to drive sales strategies

Requirements

  • Proven experience in enterprise software solution sales
  • 5-10+ years of enterprise sales experience
  • Track record of exceeding quota
  • Minimum 3+ years tenure in previous roles
  • Ability to prospect and build demand
  • Experience in strategic account planning
  • Enabled on a value selling methodology
  • Executive presence to engage with VP+ and C-suite executives
  • Strong desire for face-to-face customer engagement
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Data-driven with focus on PLG signals
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • High emotional intelligence and mental agility
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
