Job Description

Sol de Janeiro is seeking an Accounting Manager to join the Finance team, overseeing financial accounting operations, ensuring compliance with IFRS standards, and accurate financial reporting. This hands-on leadership role requires a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, driving efficiency, prioritizing quality, and optimizing accounting processes.

Responsibilities

• Govern day-to-day accounting operations
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes
• Manage and prepare general ledger account reconciliations and journal entries
• Manage and mentor a team of six in the accounting team
• Partner cross-functionally with operations, supply chain and other department
• Optimize accounting workflows
• Manage quarterly Group reporting to the parent company
• Participate in the development and improvement of internal controls
• Participate and prepare accounting memos/policies
• Manage and maintain current ERP (NetSuite) for the finance team
• Support implementation of new ERP system (SAP)
• Support FP&A with financial planning, budgeting and forecasting
• Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits
• Ad hoc projects as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (CPA required)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting management, ideally within CPG or retail industries
• Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards under U.S GAAP and/or IFRS
• Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft applications
• Excellent leadership, organizational, communication and analytical skills
• A self-starter who can manage multiple priorities, delivering quality results in a timely manner
