Seeking a qualified Litigation Assistant to manage law firm operations, carry out administrative services, and support the legal team, requiring strong work ethic and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
Perform administrative duties
Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes
Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices
Implement and improve administrative processes
Collect, examine, and organize evidence
Draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents
Research regulations, laws, and legal articles
Manage client billing
Communicate with clients and witnesses
Manage, organize, and maintain documents
Requirements
High school diploma or GED required
Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred
Bilingual English and Spanish preferred
At least 2 years of experience as an administrative assistant or paralegal
Experience in Personal Injury, WC, Premises, or other injury related practice areas preferred
Ability to multi-task and handle a fast-paced environment
Great written and communication skills
Proficient in calendar depositions, mediation, and hearings
Knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules, and procedures
Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines
Strong writing and communication skills with attention to detail
Extensive computer and database expertise, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and type no less than 35 wpm
