Job Description

Seeking a qualified Litigation Assistant to join the team, responsible for managing day-to-day operations, administrative services, and supporting the legal team. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform administrative duties
  • Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes
  • Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices
  • Implement and improve administrative processes
  • Collect, examine, and organize evidence
  • Draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents
  • Research regulations, laws, and legal articles
  • Manage client billing
  • Communicate with clients and witnesses
  • Manage, organize, and maintain documents

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Bilingual English and Spanish preferred
  • 2+ years of experience as an administrative assistant, legal assistant, legal secretary, or paralegal
  • Experience in Personal Injury, WC, Premises, or other injury related practice areas preferred
  • Ability to multi-task and handle a fast-paced environment
  • Great written and communication skills
  • Proficient in calendar depositions, mediation, and hearings
  • Knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules, and procedures
  • Highly organized
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Extensive computer and database expertise, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and type no less than 35 wpm
