Job Description

A Case Manager is needed to join the team to work on a varied caseload, assist the attorney in developing settlements, and prepare documents and correspondence. The ideal candidate is customer focused and empathetic.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with clients via phone and in person
  • Order medical records and communicate with clients and providers
  • Obtain documents to support injury and/or liability positions
  • Interact with insurance carriers and healthcare providers
  • Negotiate case settlements and medical balance deductions
  • Work with coworkers on case files
  • Maintain organized case files
  • Prepare demands and assemble support for carriers
  • Present case synopsis to attorneys
  • Manage case files from intake to closing
  • Perform other related duties

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Prior Personal Injury Case Manager experience preferred
  • At least 2 years of legal or insurance adjuster experience preferred
  • Negotiating skills
  • Ability to be a team player and follow procedures
  • Proactive interaction with clients, insurance companies, and medical providers
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage workload
  • Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines
  • Strong writing and communication skills with attention to detail
  • Computer and database expertise, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and type no less than 35 wpm
