Job Description

As a Senior Security Engineer at Headspace, you will automate response playbooks, integrate security tooling, and craft detection strategies to ensure platform security for over 65 million users. You will lead incident response, design automated workflows, and collaborate with teams to embed security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain security tools and infrastructure
• Lead and respond to security incidents
• Design and implement automated security workflows
• Integrate security platforms
• Conduct threat modeling
• Develop and maintain threat detection rules
• Collaborate with partner teams
• Research cybersecurity threats
• Analyze security data
• Participate in incident response and post-incident reviews
• Contribute to detection strategies and automation playbooks

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant work experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent
• Experience in developing and tuning threat detection rules
• Understanding of incident response procedures and forensic techniques
• Proficiency in a scripting language
• Strong understanding of threat modeling
• Knowledge of networking, operating systems, and cloud security
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Experience maintaining procedure documentation
