Job Description

The Customer Success Team at SmithRx focuses on helping clients derive the full value of their PBM services. As a Clinical Account Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the complete post-sale success and satisfaction of SmithRx customers via pharmacy benefit analysis and clinical consultation delivery. You will bring strong industry and product knowledge and serve as a trusted advisor and business partner for clinical pharmacy services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical expertise and insights on drug spend and utilization
  • Provide superior clinical consultation and account management
  • Analyze claims data to identify trends and cost savings opportunities
  • Explain formulary and clinical program's value proposition to clients
  • Support communications of formulary changes and program updates
  • Recommend clinical programs for clients
  • Stay current with market trends and provide clinical market intelligence
  • Communicate drug information to clients and respond to inquiries
  • Create and update clinical marketing materials
  • Collaborate on clinical aspects of client quarterly reviews
  • Incorporate treatment and practice guidelines into client presentations
  • Analyze data and interpret drug benefit designs

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s and Advanced Degree in Pharmacy, RPh or Pharm D
  • Current and unrestricted Pharmacist license
  • 5+ years of experience as a licensed pharmacist
  • 3+ years of working knowledge of healthcare benefits, account management, pharmacy benefits, or commercial health insurance preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in a client-facing role
  • Executive-level communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for customer experience and satisfaction

  • Self-driven, results-oriented work ethic
  • Ability to take initiative
  • Empathic communicator with a consultative approach
