Job Description

Xero is building a new AI-driven financial insights platform to empower customers with actionable insights, predictive analytics, and personalized recommendations. As a Technical Program Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the successful delivery of this platform, from conception to launch and iteration. The role requires a strong blend of technical acumen, leadership, and exceptional communication skills to navigate complex AI/ML development cycles and significant stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, execution, and delivery of AI-driven financial insights platform
  • Define program scope, objectives, key results, and manage timelines and resources
  • Foster collaboration and alignment among diverse stakeholders
  • Identify, assess, and manage critical risks, issues, and dependencies
  • Develop mitigation strategies and timely resolution
  • Communicate updates to all levels of the organization
  • Translate complex technical concepts into understandable business implications
  • Identify technical challenges, facilitate technical discussions, and ensure robust and scalable solutions
  • Influence teams and stakeholders to achieve common goals
  • Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure platform adherence to regulations

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Technical Program Management
  • Proven track record of delivering complex, cross-functional software products
  • Experience with AI/ML-driven product development
  • Understanding of ML lifecycles, data pipelines, model training, and deployment challenges
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills
  • Strong leadership and judgment
  • Solid technical fluency
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Ability to navigate complex organizational structures
  • Experience with financial technology (FinTech) or data-intensive products is a plus
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; or equivalent practical experience
